Colonnade BridgePort’s continued growth and expansion has created an opportunity for an experienced full-time Human Resources Administrator located in our Ottawa Office.

HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources (HR), the HR Administrator will provide a consistently high standard of administrative and project support to the HR team as well as be one of the focal points of interaction with employees, management and the public.

In addition, under the guidance of the Payroll Coordinator, the HR Administrator will provide support to payroll and benefits administration.

So that you know what to expect on any given day, you’ll be doing one or a variety of these tasks:

Administrative Support

  • Create and maintain personnel records, including but not limited to employee files, employee contracts, payroll records, benefit enrollment documents, performance reviews, training certificates, etc. both in electronic and hard copy formats
  • Data entry
  • Schedule meetings
  • Draft, proofread and edit HR correspondence

Recruitment Support

  • Generate job profiles
  • Post jobs
  • Track applicants
  • Schedule interviews
  • Manage assessment tools (skills, behavioural, etc.)
  • Prepare interview packages
  • Communicate with candidates

Onboarding Support

  • Greetings/Announcements
  • New hire documentation
  • New hire orientation
  • Equipment and workstation set up
  • Compliance training
  • Process evaluation

Payroll and Benefits Support

  • Data entry
  • Process enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Maintain applicable databases
  • Process and reconcile monthly benefit invoices

The Qualifications we would like you to bring to the position include:

  • Post-secondary education with a concentration in Administration or related discipline
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to handle the highest level of confidentiality with discretion
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal relations skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Functional knowledge of social networking
  • Working knowledge of HR systems and applications would be an asset
  • Ownership and personal pride to produce flawless results
